Setting Up Your Water and Electric Supplies

Once you’ve got yourself pitched up, you’ll want to connect your water. It’s as simple as connecting the water tap connector, then plug it on your hose and then turning the tap counterclockwise.

Some people turn up and they don’t have a connector, but luckily we keep a few spares in the office. Here at Chestnutt Holiday Parks, we have the new standard electric hookups, so once you’ve set your van up, you’ll be looking to plug it in.

So when you go to the back corner of the van, you’ll find a similar setup to what you might have seen before. You plug in, but with ours there’s a round switch, if you turn it 90 degrees to the right, you’ll find you have power. Now to unhook it it’s in reverse. So you’ll find that your plug socket is actually locked until you turn the power off.

Once you turn the power off, it’ll let you pull the plug out, pack up your van, and have a safe journey home.
